Where to Go in Adelaide

People wishing to explore the history of Adelaide should head up to the North Terrace, where you can find the Migration Museum, the State Library of South Australia and the SA Museum.

Arts Precinct

The Arts Precinct, which harbours a number of distinguished art galleries is located between the east end of North Terrace and Hindley St. Here you can find the SAMSTAG Museum, the Jam Factory and the Media Resource Centre as well as a number of smaller galleries.

Other galleries are scattered along the main streets of Adelaide, featuring the latest works by South Australian artists, including works by acclaimed Aboriginal artists.

 

North Adelaide

Just across the Torrens River to the north is North Adelaide. Here you can find many heritage homes and the entertainment/ restaurant dining strips of O’Connell Street and Melbourne Street.
