Mimosa National Park is located north of the township of Tathra Beach and just east of Bega. This beautiful park extends for some 16 kilometres along this part of the NSW Coast and almost up to Bermagui, located some 22kms to the north. Things to do here include spotting wildlife and birdwatching, swimming and snorkelling, mountain biking, surfing the waves on the beaches and fishing.
The park offers stunning views of the coastline, crystal clear waterways, lagoons, a number of sandy beaches and eucalypt and rainforest to explore. There are also historical places to find, the park is named after a paddle steamer that foundered on the rocks in 1863.
Along the South Coast of NSW there are also some great picnic areas with views to enjoy. On the headlands, with a bit of luck you can spot migrating whales in winter.
