When to Visit Malua Bay

The best time to visit is between late October and early May when the weather is warm and pleasant. The warmest months are January and February are ideal, with temperatures reaching around 25.7°C (78.2°F) during the day.

If you prefer dry weather, May, July and August tend to have the least rainfall.

Also, if you’re into whale watching, the migration season runs from May to November, offering spectacular sightings along the coast. There are even whale watching and dolphin cruises available from a number of the coastal towns.

Batemans Bay Marine Park offers 85,000 hectares of estuaries, creeks, rivers, and lakes for recreational fishing. The park protects marine biodiversity and supports various recreational and commercial activities. The diverse marine life, including dolphins, seals, sharks, and rays, makes for exciting marine activities. Kayaking and walks along the water’s edge provide a great exploration experience.
