Murramarang Beach, located just south of Bawley Point, NSW is one of the 100 beaches to be found in the Shoalhaven region. Just offshore is Brush Island, a nature reserve and ancient Aboriginal sacred site, while the waters offshore are protected by the Batemans Marine Park.
Murramarang Aboriginal Walking Track
The Murramarang Aboriginal Walking Track that runs along the beach here is one of the many Aboriginal experiences that are available in the Shoalhaven. Booderee National Park, located just to the north on the coast is managed by Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community and Parks Australia. It also has pristine white sand beaches, such as those found at Jervis Bay
Other experiences available here are the Galamban Extraordinary Aboriginal Experiences, run during school holidays to learn about the culture, foods and stories of the local Aboriginals that live here still, descendents of the traditional owners of the land.
