Freycinet National Park, located on the east coast of Tasmania, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, characterized by pink granite mountains, azure bays, and pristine white beaches. There are many other activities to enjoy such as rock climbing, while on the water you can go sailing or kayaking. Under the water there is snorkelling and scuba diving. Located on the East coast of Tasmania, the waters here are calmer and consequently easier to enjoy.

Freycinet is famous for its white sandy beaches set in stunning locations. The coastal park is backed by the Hazards Mountains with its pink granite rock peaks.

Why Visit Tasmania National Parks

Easy Walks

There are numerous short walks available at the park. Sleepy Bay takes some 10 minutes return as does the Great Oyster Bay Walk. The Lookout Friendly Beaches is only 5 minutes return.

For something longer, try the the Wineglass Bay Lookout, which takes 1 to 2.5 hours. A lot of these walks can be joined together. There are others, enquire at the Freycinet Visitor Centre.

Longer Walks

The Wineglass Bay Walk takes some 2.5 to 4 hours return. You can achieve the Mt. Amos walk in 3 hours return while the Hazards Beach Walk will take 5 to 6 hours return.

The Freycinet Experience Walk

The Freycinet Experience Walk is a four-day exploration of the Freycinet National Park. on Tasmania’s east coast. Each night you return to the Friendly Beaches Lodge, renowned for its award winning environmental architecture.

Walk covers the length of Freycinet Peninsula, the groups are limited to 10 people and is accompanied by two experienced guides.

Freycinet National Park’s natural attractions, including Wineglass Bay, its beaches, and geological formations, make it a great visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
