The Botanic Gardens, located a short walk from the city centre has numerous displays of Australian flora as well as exotic. Aside from being a very scenic place for a picnic it gives you a chance to experience nature, even native rainforest.
Adelaide Zoo
Great for kids and the whole family! With more than 1,800 animals from Australia and elsewhere in the world. There is a special zoo for the kids as well, where they can interact with the animals.
Museums
Key South Australia Museums are located here in the historical precinct. The Migration Museum tells the story of the establishment of the city from the earliest migrants to this region through to today. The State Library and the South Australia Museum are also located here, each one can easily fill a whole day’s activities if you so wish. North Terrace, corner of Kintore Ave. Those keen on a deeper understanding of the history of the city should check out the State Library.
Rundle Street
Rundle Street has a great collection of dining restaurants as well as more convenient eateries. There are heritage pubs and clubs as well, with a whole host of imported and boutique beers and ales, or perhaps a favourite red or white wine to find.
Ayers House Museum
This historic Museum, administered by the National Trust, is located in a beautiful complex of buildings at the north east end of the city.
